Triple H trolls Heyman; accepts challenge - Short, sweet and to the point. Heyman receives an email from the not-so-anonymous COO that the won't be at Raw; Heyman trashes him; turns out H was there all along; hijinks ensue. Good segment. 8/10
R-Truth d. Antonio Cesaro - This was a squash match where the only thing redeemable was that Truth is back to his entrance rap. Love that thing. The Shield flies in on a chopper just before commercial, which was cool. But yeah. This happened. 5/10
Damien Sandow d. Brodus Clay - Incredibly, the tag division has a secondary feud. How about that?! The match was incredibly short and not that interesting, but the crowd was really into it. It was followed up by AJ Lee getting set up for a possible run at the Divas title. At least there's some development happening. 1.75 stars for the match; 4.5/10 for the segment.
Shield give a promo - I liked this promo. It was really intense and hyped why a match with the Undertaker is so huge for the Shield here. Good stuff. 6.5/10
Dolph Ziggler d. Chris Jericho - These two are just really knowledgeable of each other in the ring and it shows here. Their match was a good technical watch, although its ending cost it. I get what they were doing with the Fandango theme playing, but man, that killed the buzz for me. The match was 2.75 stars, and the segment was 6.75/10
Tensai d. Cody Rhodes - A decent, short match, but it was the same basic match as the Sandow match. The difference was the crowd was less strong here. The segment was helped far more by the Daniel Bryan and Kane comedy. DIAGRAMS! 1.5 for the match/5.5 for the segment.
Ryback promo - Video packages. Video packages everywhere. And a decent but brief interview. 3/10
Langston squashes Ryder - Geez, this show is dragging! 3/10
The Shield d. Undertaker & Hell No - THIS is why I watch these shows! The crowd was firmly behind the match and everyone was hitting on all cylinders. The right team went over and yet everyone looked strong throughout the process. I gave this match a 3.5-star rating, and the segment translates to an 8.25/10
Foley and Cena have a chat - There's nothing wrong with this, but it's these annoyingly short segments that make this blog a chore. 5/10
Fandango squashes William Regal - A waste of Regal. The Jericho brawl afterward was ok, but this didn't do much for me. 3.75/10
AJ wins No. 1 contender Battle Royal - I KNOW AJ is more useful in the ring than this. The strategy of feigning unconsciousness is creative, but it just made the match feel... stupid. We have a good feud now, but it was set up in a dumb manner and somehow managed to overlook Nikki Bella, who seems to actually have a small in-story beef with Kaitlyn. How sad is it that the storylines here are so pathetically small that ANYTHING feels like a storyline? 1.5 stars for the match and 4.25/10 for the segment.
Foley confronts Ryback and Cena gets revenge (sort of) - Foley's talk was decent, but I have no idea why it existed. The commentary team acted so blindly face that they ignored the damn story (asking Ryback how it feels to be left alone with the Shield when that's the WHOLE BASIS OF THE FEUD). And SuperCena clears house. Lovely. 5.5/10
Overall: I have really not been a Raw fan lately. There are a lot of small things I like, but they're bogged down by A LOT of crap. Raw's writing crew needs to work to make this show feel like most of it isn't a waste of time. 5.3/10
